Taken on a very quick Spring visit to Yellowstone. After lovely weather in Montana the previous day, we were warned that a snowstorm was on the way and likely to close roads (it did). As we had to get back to Denver two days later, we made a quick circuit of the park, saw none of the geysers, and then made a run for Jackson so as not to be "snowed in."

Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah, United States: Bryce Canyon National Park is a national park of the United States located in southwestern Utah. The major feature of the park is Bryce Canyon, which despite its name, is not a canyon, but a collection of giant natural amphitheaters along the eastern side of the Paunsaugunt Plateau. Bryce is distinctive due to geological structures called hoodoos, formed by frost weathering and stream erosion of the river and lake bed sedimentary rock.
